- Curriculum Policy
It is the policy of Lisnagelvin Nursery School to:
- Make the transition from home to school smooth, relaxed and happy.
- Provide an environment which nurtures self confidence, success and positive thinking.
- Develop each child at his/her own pace, through challenging, structured, planned and progressive play.
- Encourage communication through language development with adults and peer groups.


- Promote physical development in a safe and challenging environment both outdoors and indoors.
- Inculcate a love of song, dance, music, books and art.
- Give each child the opportunity to explore, enjoy and investigate the natural environment.
- Practice social skills through group activities.
- Develop manipulative skills.
- Promote health, hygiene and safety.
- Encourage environmental awareness at home, school and in our community.
- Establish links with the local community including visits, demonstrations and talks.
- Involve parents in their children's school activities for mutual benefit and enjoyment.
- Prepare for a smooth transfer to Primary School.
